When do registrations open?
For updates about registrations for acic18 sign up to our mailing list.

How do I register?
Booking is easily done via our online TryBooking portal (credit card only).
Click here to read more about the various Attendance Options and Costs.
If you need to pay via another method, please contact the ACIC office to discuss.

When do registrations close?
Officially, registrations will close at 6pm on Thurs 7th June. However, there is a ticket limit and once this is reached, registrations will be closed. For reference, in previous years The Convergence sold out.
Please note, tickets will not be available for purchase ‘at the door’.

Will there be a wait list?
If all available tickets are sold, there will be a wait list that you can join. This may be accessible via the Trybooking portal, however the safest way to ensure you’re on the list is to also email the ACIC office.

Can I pay a deposit to reserve a place?
No. We are not able to reserve places.
– please note: if you register for the onsite residential accommodation without registering for the event, we can not hold you an event place. If all event places go, you will not have a ticket to ACIC (your accommodation will be refunded).

What happens if I need to Cancel or Change my Ticket?
Read our Ticketing Policy for more info about all this.

Can my partner come & not dance? Can my friend come for a meal?
The only people allowed at the event, and at meals, are dancing participants. The only exception is for a designated carer of a dancing participant’s children.

Can I come to ACIC if I’m new to CI?
ACIC is an open event, where participants of all levels of experience are welcome. However, for participants who are very new to the CI form, and are considering a longer multi-day attendance (6-days or 4-days), we strongly encourage them to attend some local classes, workshops and jams prior to the event. In addition, it’s useful to know that a long CI immersion can be overwhelming at times, especially for those new to the form.

Accommodation & Travel

Where do I stay?
ACIC offers participants the opportunity to stay onsite in dormitory-style accommodation.
– read more about this – as well as a little more info about staying offsite in Lennox Head – on our Accommodation page.

Is there private accommodation available onsite?
At acic18 there will be the option to pay extra for a Villa (twin, double, small group and family possibilities). Villa accommodation will suit those folks wanting a bit more space or privacy, who are light sleepers (or snorers!), couples, families and those wanting to buddy up with friends. Villas are limited, contact the office early (from October) to register your interest.

For suggestions on other nearby accommodation (offsite), see our Accommodation page.

Can I camp onsite?
Unfortunately, no. We do not have permission to camp onsite. See our Accommodation page for info on the closest campgrounds to ACIC.

Can I park my van and stay onsite?
The only option for staying onsite is in the villas or standard accomodation (dormitories). We are not permitted to have people sleep overnight in the main hall, or to stay in their vehicles onsite. If you plan to sleep in your van, you will be required to drive off-site each evening and return in the morning.

What’s the best way to get to Lake Ainsworth?
Have a look at our Travel page for more info.

If you register to stay in the onsite dorms, all your breakfasts are included in your Residential ticket cost.
If you are staying offsite, you are not included for breakfasts. But, if you would like to attend breakfast at ACIC each day, you may purchase this option. Just contact us at the ACIC office for more information.

All meals are lovingly prepared by Organic Passion Catering. Anthea & Caspar were a huge hit at previous Convergences and we have managed to bring them back again! Meals are mostly-organic, vegetarian cuisine… desserts included!

Can you cater for me?
Special dietary requirements can be catered for; make sure you let the ACIC office know when you are registering if you have such dietary requirements.

Can I bring food extras?
Between meals, there will always be a bowl of fruit, as well as tea & coffee, available. Should you wish to bring further snacks, you are more than welcome. You can also bring other food items (eg. canned tuna to add to a meal), however there are not cooking facilities available.
